Hey! I'm Sarai (Sah-ree), a proud 2020 graduate from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience.
I'm from Westfield, NJ, where I played soccer and ran track at Westfield High School (Class of 2016). I spent 10 incredible summers as a camper, counselor and division head at sleep away camp. As an undergraduate student, I joined a sorority and never missed a basketball game at the Breslin Center!
Since earning my degree, I've worked in clinical settings, caring for both pediatric and adult patients with a variety of neurological disorders, including ADHD, Autism, anxiety/depression, and Epilepsy.
I am deeply passionate about mental health and how our minds and behaviors shape our daily lives. Through my experience, I've learned how crucial it is to create spaces where people feel heard, supported, and connected.
What makes Calm, Cool & Connected unique?
Unlike traditional support groups, we focus on therapeutic activities, while also offering the opportunity to share your story (if you choose), receive unbiased advice, and spark connections. We emphasize developing coping skills, decision-making strategies, and positive behavior patterns.
We are an evolving group, always open to new ideas!
I wish I knew then what I know now...
It's okay to not be okay and it's important to talk to others.
Join me in staying Calm, Cool & Connected!
